I invite you to learn more about me

Hello,

I'm Vanessa A. Lindley, the CEO of Lindley Consulting Group LLC. I'm also a sought-after speaker, financial coach, consultant, and author. My driving force is to help individuals, families, and mission-driven organizations understand the financial impacts of daily life and help them to create a lasting legacy.  I specialize in transformational personal finance, improving financial behaviors, leadership development, and legacy creation.

My business, the Lindley Consulting Group, LLC, is a certified MWBE, and I have authored the best-selling book,  "Achieve Financial Victory, 7 Steps to Win with Your Money.”  I have also contributed to several publications and curricula including “Life Balance for the Women on the Rise,” “Realizing the American Dream,” “Financial Coaching: Helping Clients Reach their Goals,” and “Delivering Effective Financial Education for Today’s Consumer.”   I also host the Vanessa Lindley “Vision Salon” and the “Money Salon,” where I help participants clarify their vision, learn to live on purpose, and create a lasting legacy.

I began my career in financial services as a State Farm Agent and Real Estate Broker - holding licenses in insurance, Series 6 and 63 - and have won numerous awards for outstanding sales and customer service.  With over twenty years of financial services experience, my client list includes Citi, Chase, Columbia University, the State of New York, St. John’s University, NeighborWorks America, the National Urban League, the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Freddie Mac, Dfree, New Jersey CDC, Children’s Aid Society, along with several other organizations, municipalities and unions.

As part of my mission to help people recover from financial crisis, I traveled to New Orleans and other parts of Louisiana to assist victims of Hurricane Katrina and educate them on access to financial products to rebuild their communities.  Similarly, I've worked on a task force to assist Hurricane Sandy victims in NY and NJ.  I am an active member of Jack & Jill of America, Inc. where we feed the homeless, donate to various “Back to School” efforts and clothing drives and offer my time and expertise.  I'm honored to have been recognized by the Queens Chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. as Community Leader of the Year and was presented with the Women of Wall Street 2019 award.

I've recently completed my Masters of Divinity, specializing in psychology from the Union Theological Seminary, graduated Cum Laude with a BS in marketing from the School of Management at Binghamton University, and am an alumnus of the Goldman Sachs 10K Small Business program, Chair of my alumni cohort.

My deep dedication to making an impact on the world is only superseded by my unending dedication to my family. I'm a wife, a mother of three girls, and guardian for my younger brother after the death of my mother. I truly am living the life of a “Legacy Maker.”
